Foras Counseling

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” ~ Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search For Meaning

Do you ever feel like you are not being heard or understood?

Are you feeling overwhelmed or anxious due to changes in your life? Maybe you are not feeling like YOU anymore, as if something has changed?

I offer experience, knowledge and true understanding for the complexities of the journey. My focus is helping you feel supported during the challenges life throws at you. I became a counselor because I understand how frustrating it can feel to not be heard or understood by family, friends, medical professionals or mental health professionals on your journey towards wellness. I feel an environment that is full of empathy, engagement, and safety is the best way to start this journey.

Suzanne Una Watts

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I graduated from Argosy University Atlanta in 2009. In the last 16 years, I have been fortunate to provide counseling services in many settings with many populations. My counseling experience includes working in home intensive community-based services, crisis intervention with stabilization across the state of Georgia, telehealth counseling, as well as working in the world of health insurance.

I believe that people have goodness in them, even if they don’t know how to show it. People can change, if they are willing to try to try to be vulnerable. I primarily work with teens and adults, focusing on depression, anxiety, ADHD and self-growth. I also provide services for people of all ages who have been diagnosed with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, autoimmune disorders and chronic pain. I use an integrative approach that includes cognitive behavior therapies such as CBT, DBT, and REBT along with narrative and solution-focused therapies, and existentialism. I am LGBQTIA+ affirming and kink-friendly.

“Forces beyond our control can take away everything you possess except one thing, your freedom to choose how you will respond to the situation.”
